Started at 10 am and finished at 3.30 pm.
First of all filled some forms to start with. Then started with a Ice breaker: everyone told what is there business idea and 1 thing about them what is true and 1 thing what is a lie. My business idea is to open a Market Stall in Leicester Market, selling canned food (meat products and ready meals). I want to import the products from Estonia to UK. 1 thing about me is that I have been a political youth club leader for 7 years and I have rank in National Service, Estonian Army liutenant. Have a guess which one is true and which one is a lie.:)
Then we were given Explore Enterprise course Workbooks.
* To enable you to learn about topics relevant to planning and running a business.
* To help you to consider wether self - employment is the right choice for you.
* To give you a feel for what running a business would be like, to explain the key skills needed and the demands and challenges involved.
* To meet others in a similar situation.
Then we agreed with a "Conduct Agreement".
Then we talked about self - employment vs. employment. The advatages and disadvantages for both.
Then we talked about choosing a legal structure. Wether it will be Sole Trader, Partnership, Limited Company or Social Enterprise.
Then we filled My Journey on the Enterprise Programme Form covering key Skills: Communication, Confidence, Working with others, Setting and achieving goals, Reliability, Coping, Money management, Skills for sector and rating them 1-6 points of scale to see which skills needs to be developed further.
Then we were giving the Development Plan form to list the things you want to find out more about or do to improve your knowledge and skills to get closer to achieving your goals. Basicly "What you want to achieve", "How you will achieve it" , "Due Date" and is it "Completed"?
Then we completed "Attidues to cash". I am a Smart Spender and quite in control. I must need to keep a closer track to my money. Not too bad! :)
Then we had a closer look at income and expenditures budget, so called survival income/budget.
Then we read about Credit report and credit scores. Prince's Trust requiers at least +138 of credit score to get a funding (a loan or a grant). I am trying to find out my credit score from Experion website: eperion.co.uk and it should be free to do that.
If you want to check your credit report and credit score then the report will can be a slow process and costs 2 pounds (3.50 pounds).
